About

We are not owned by a bedliner company

Top Bedliners is an independent review desk covering truck bed protection. Here is how we work, and exactly how we make money.

What this site is for

Bed protection is one of the few truck purchases where the marketing and the engineering point in genuinely different directions. Every brand will tell you theirs is the hardest, the toughest, the longest-lasting. Almost none of them will tell you that a harder liner chips more readily under a cold-weather impact, or that the cheapest liner on the shelf is also the one most likely to be quietly rusting your bed.

So the job here is simple: explain how each option actually protects a truck bed, how each one actually fails, and what each one actually costs in 2026. Then get out of the way and let you choose.

How we research

  • Installer pricing, not list pricing. The numbers on this site come from what shops quote, which is frequently not what a brand advertises.
  • Manufacturer datasheets over marketing copy. Where we cite a property — elongation, hardness, cure behavior — it comes from technical documentation, and where the datasheet and the brochure disagree, the datasheet wins.
  • Owners who have lived with the product. A liner that looks perfect at six months tells you nothing. We care about year five.
  • We say when we do not know. Where a figure is an estimate or a range, we label it as one. Where a claim is contested, we say that too.

How we make money

Three ways, and all three are disclosed:

  • Affiliate links. Some links to products earn a commission if you buy. This never changes a rating, a ranking or a recommendation, and we link to products we would not earn anything from whenever they are the right answer.
  • Sponsored and featured posts. Brands can pay for placement. Every paid placement carries a visible sponsored label at the top of the article, and paid content is held to the same editorial standard as everything else — including the parts a sponsor would rather we left out.
  • Category sponsorship. A brand can sponsor a section of the site. Sponsorship buys visibility. It does not buy a score.
The line we do not crossNo advertiser sees a review before it publishes, and no advertiser gets a rating changed. If that is a dealbreaker for a brand, it is a brand we cannot work with, and we would rather say so up front.

Corrections

Prices move, products change and we get things wrong occasionally. If you spot an error — particularly a pricing figure or a technical claim — tell us and we will fix it and note the change on the article. Use the contact page.
